Brides can’t do it on their own wedding day!
As much as a bride plans her wedding and would like to believe that they can execute the day of their wedding it’s impossible. She can only be at one place at one time and getting her hair and make-up done and sipping champagne with her bridesmaids is her work that day!!
Do you really want your family working on the day of your wedding?
If you can’t do it then guess what? It will end up being your family, your aunts, uncles, cousins and/or your mom! It’s best to hire a professional to handle the final details so that your family can relax and enjoy the festivities!
Do you really want to be troubleshooting or solving problems on the day of your wedding?
It’s no secret that best laid plans typically have issues. No matter how many times you go over the timeline or ask all of the questions you can possibly think of something WILL go wrong. Do you really want to be the person to have to handle all of that? Leave it to the professionals! The people that do this every weekend know how to handle it and if they are any good will handle it without you even finding out!
Because the venue manager, photographer and DJ are NOT coordinators!
It happens all of the time, venue managers, photographers and DJs end up running the show. But is this really their job? No! The venue manager is there to make sure everyone is comfortable in their venue, i.e. lighting, air conditioning, clean restrooms etc. Photographers are there to capture your EVERY precious moment, but if they are busy herding people or making sure you have your cake knives for the cake ceremony they might miss something! DJs are there to entertain your guests, make sure that the music is seamless, not check on the buffet so that they can announce it to the guests! This all falls under the role of your wedding coordinator! The person that is there for you! There for the timing and there to make sure your guests know where to be when!
Because you are crazy if you think the venue manager is going to sew up your dress if it needs it!!
Venue managers are UH-mazing and we love working with them! But it is not their job to sew up your dress if it tears, or help your groomsmen find black socks if he forgot them or make sure the shuttle arrives on time! Many folks think just because their venue comes with a day of coordinator that they are all set, but it is simply not the case. The venue managers are there to make sure all of their equipment is working properly and that everyone is comfortable in their space, do not rely on them to pull off miracles on the day of your wedding. It is just not their job.
Because every Bride deserves it.
The cost of a “Day of Coordinator” or really a “Month of” is so minimal compared to the value they offer the entire last month of your wedding that really after all of the planning and money spent on this special day you deserve it. Your mother deserves it. Invest in the final stage of your wedding and make sure you have a pro on-site to be there for you and your family. Do your homework to find the coordinator that is the right fit for you and is a true professional and once your hire them have faith that they know what they are doing and will make sure that everything goes off without a hitch! Or well ONE hitch!
Happy planning and best of luck! Lots of love, The Clearly Classy Team
