On Saturday, March 12th, 2016, Nina and Mike came together before their family and friends to be married as husband and wife at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Austin, Texas. They then celebrated their new union with a grand reception at the nearby Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa. It was with much excitement that Clearly Classy Events designed their special event on the highest point of the Hyatt's Wolfdancer Golf Club Driving Range.

The church sanctuary was absolutely breathtaking with its tall pillars and remarkable dome iconography surrounded by angelic liturgy.
The wedding floral was inspired by cool textures and shapes in a colorful palette of warm pink, blue, plum, blush, mint, butterscotch yellow and cream with orange! These luscious church arrangements sat on pedestals to beautifully frame the altar, while matching nosegays marked the ceremony aisle.
Rae Cosmetics got Nina's hair and makeup picture perfect for her big day. She wore her hair in a loose chignon up-do with a hair piece that matched the elegant lace and beading on her bridal gown. Mike's navy groom suit had his wife-to-be's name romantically stitched on his sleeve!
Nina's bridal bouquet featured seasonal blooms of mint succulents, yellow craspedia, blue thistle, coral peonies, and orange ranunculus and protea. Absolutely gorgeous!
Terra Vista Strings quartet beautifully played the ceremony music, then continued to entertain guests with their vibrant sound during the reception cocktail hour.
As guests arrived to the reception, they were greeted with choices of delicious butler passed appetizers like smoked pork belly with roasted brussels sprouts and maple glaze, or mini crab cakes topped with a jalapeno remoulade. Also passed were flutes of bubbly champagne and signature cocktails like the Blood Orange Paloma or a Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita.
Nina & Mike had an extra special guest who made an appearance during the cocktail hour, one of Hyatt Lost Pine's mascots, the Texas Longhorn T-Bone! Everyone got in line for their photo op with this gentle giant.
Guests were able to sit and mingle with each other in the Casual Chic, Stay Gold, or Classic Elegance styled lounge areas rented from Loot Vintage Rentals.
The floral, oh the floral! Flora Fetish did an incredible job bringing the vision to life! The head table, which sat in front of the stage by the dance floor, featured a full lavish arrangement raised above the table.
Guest tables, draped in midnight blue linens and set with gold chameleon chairs from Whim Event Rentals, were decorated by a mix of grand centerpieces. Some had branches with floral orbs and hanging glass globes. Others had tall glass pieces with an arrangement sitting atop, or golden lanterns with full candles, floral, and moss on a mirrored tray.
The gold-painted three tiered butter cream wedding cake was artfully created by Simon Lee Bakery. Other tasty desserts like these Nutella ganache tarts with toasted cinnamon meringue and S'mores Pops, white chocolate dipped marshmallows, covered in graham cracker crumb and lightly toasted were served by Hyatt Regency Lost Pines.
Strong Events provided the boxwood decor placed as the backdrop to the stage and for the fun, interactive photo booth from My Event is the Bomb. All of the tent's draping and custom square lamp shades that hung from the ceiling were brought in by World Audio & Lights.
Once dancing got started, Matchmaker Band kept everyone up off their seat and on the dance floor until the very end!
As incredible as the view of the interior was during the day, these night shots with the glow of the blue and purple lighting through Whim Event Rentals' clear tent are stunning!
This was an incredibly fun event for the Clearly Classy Events teams, and we hope the memories made that night by Nina, Mike and their guests will continue to bring laughter and smiles for years to come! Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Engels!
