Unbelievable.  Really there is no other term for what my team and I experienced today.  Many of you know that I have been doing these types of events for many years and have seen some really crazy things happen through it all.  So many times Brides, Grooms, Bridesmaids or anyone else will say to me "Betcha never seen that before!"  Usually I have, sometimes I haven't, but today, OMG today.....well let's just say that I said "well now that's a first...." like fifteen times.  It wasn't even that the Father of the Groom's pants were falling off, been there.  Or that the caterer was late, or that most of the groomsmen and two of the bridesmaids showed up 45 minutes after there expected arrival.  Nor was the fact that we had no cups for the alcohol or that the Groom forgot to give me money to pay all of the vendors.  I was only caught off guard slightly when I needed to send someone to get the marriage license  from their house because they had forgotten and to find out that the bride was actually 6 weeks pregnant.....shhhhhh!  But it was the other 500 unusual things that made today the day of MANY "Firsts"!  For instance, using a hotel bed sheet to make a makeshift screen for the photo montage, the brides veil flying completely off, a terrible storm rolling in the VERY minute I was lining up the bridal party for the ceremony....causing the brides veil to fly off!  It was starting the ceremony 15 minutes early because the cold front WAS coming, it was the five pop up speeches, it was the 200 flowers we had to arrange, it was the......oh the list goes on.  There are so many things that I can't even tell you and I wish that I could!!!  This will most definitely be an entire chapter in my book one day!!!  Sheesh....it ended early, the bride and the groom were most certainly one of my favorites couples and I will miss working with them.  She had and incredibly fun bunch of  bridesmaids and his groomsmen (once they showed up!) were perfect gentlemen and I really enjoyed seeing them celebrate.  My poor girls took a beating today, we knew we were in for a sticky one this Valentines Day, but I don't think they even had a clue what they were going to experience!!   At the end of the day the wedding went off without a hitch and a veil and the reception ran smoothly and on time.  Only Clearly Classy Events felt the pain and recovered beautifully.  I hope to share pictures soon, I didn't have a moment to stop and take them!
